Just when you thought you'd never have the anticipation of waiting for that must see movie ever again along comes SNAKES ON A PLANE.
No seriously Snakes on a Plane.
Some genius out there just once fine sunny day had this amazing concept pop into their head just like all *Shazam!* and all that and thought 'hey what if there was this plane right and a load of snakes got loose on it?...'
Plane + Snakes = Snakes on a Plane = WIN
I mean what a brilliant concept, no thrills, no hidden meaning just Snakes on a Plane. No deep meaningful plot needed here, No need for character building hell most the characters don't even get surnames, heck some don't even get a name "IPod Girl & Blondie Fan" for example but I digress, there is something about this concept that somehow has gotten my interest, sure the preview footage looked dodgy the CG snakes looked CG and the acting was well nonexistent but there was that something about it that just screams CULT HIT.
Ten years from now it's going to have a following of fans that with still remember the first time they heard old L. Jackson utter the phrase "I want those motherfucking snakes off the motherfucking plane" with a tear in their eye.
The only thing that could make this film any better would be if Chuck Norris was in it with 'The Hoff' & William Shatner.

Well I'm finally free.
I've quit using Yahoo-groups - and well pretty much all the mailing lists barring a couple that I need to be on. (DigitalPress because I'm part of the book team and have to be on it & the 'Gorillaz' one, people on that one will understand why).
I'm now officially retired from the BristolFurs list, no disrespect to the admin there but that list has become a fucking joke now. All it is, is one big advertisement for a another groups meets. Hello what about our own meets, they will never work when being overshadowed like that. A BristolFurs group should be for Bristol-based furs not another group, suely they can set up and advertise on their own list.
So I've left. I'm just going to go to the LondonFurs meets instead that way I get to meet a lot more of my friends who live a fair distance from me lot more often than a couple times A year.
Sometimes being a generation older than 98% of a group really doesn't work, too much of a differance in worldly experiances and too few people who still respect their elders, oddly enough the same ones who honestly don't know how to think before opening their mouths or haven't learnt the ability to open their fucking ears...
BristolFurs R.I.P. 2003-2006 - because honestly the scene *is* dead.

Do The Math:...
Nizlopi - JCB Song id the Christmas number 1 reguarless of the new charts being published on Chrstmas Day.
Look at it this way:
Nizlopi is the current number 1 so on Christmas day they are starting the day in that position.
They will remain the number one until about ten to seven int he evening when they new (or same) top song is announced.
So they are the number 1 from midnight until 10 to Seven which is 18 hours and 50 minutes.
If a track does knock it off then they will only be the number one for 5 hours and 10 minutes of Christmas day.
Do the math over 18 hours is a longer period than just over 5 hours.
By rights last sundays number one *IS* the chrstmas day number one.
Instead of that we're going to most likely be lumped having a god aweful reality TV singer as the XMas number one over a REAL band with REAL talent that wrote thier OWN song AND music.
This is exactly the type of thing that's my reason behind why I've not listen to the charts for a long time, getting to number one now means nothing, no band earns the position now they all get there from promotion and promotion alone.
Even the bands with real talent only get there if the media supports them enough.
Whatever happened to the age of groups starting off small and having to EARN their place.
That music industry has the cheek to moan about people "stealing" music through downloads and all this money they loose out on YET the music industry's profits have risen every year for the past 10 years so where exactly are they loosing all this money from?
Maybe, just maybe if they actually had more than the two token real bands on their labels each I might actually concider buying music again, but there's just so much churned out factory made crap out there it's just not worth it.
In the last year the only things I've actually bought are:
Madness - Girl Why Don't You? (Single) - Didn't even chart in the top 40
Gorillaz - Deamon Days (Album)
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc, Dare, Dirty Harry (DVD Singles)
Lemon Jelly - The Shouty Track (DVD Single)
Nizlopi - JCB Song
That's pretty much all that's actually really been worth buying...

One day Steven was in the bath thinking of this neat idea for a movie about an alien that cames to earth and befriends a small boy.
So there he is in the bath pondering what the Alien should look like, he happens to glance down and through the bubbles he sees his tackle.
He leaps yo "Hoo-ray I've got it!" he exclams, "E.T The Extra Testical"
No that won't work it'll never get a PG rating, maybe if I... *he bends his members head forwards a little* ah-ha that'll work.
And there you have it E.T. is nothing more than a film about Steven's Cock and Balls and how they befriended a small boy. :o

"On Monday, August 8, Robert S. Fiveson and Myrl A. Schreibman, producers of PARTS: THE CLONUS HORROR filed suit in New York claiming DreamWorks and Warner Bros. cribbed their movie for The Island. In addition to unspecified financial compensation, Fiveson and Schreibman want The Island withdrawn from theaters and any further release barred, reports Daily Variety.
The copyright infringement suit lists 90 instances where the movies are identical. DreamWorks released a statement Tuesday saying, "'The Island' does not infringe on anyone's copyrights." Warner said it does not comment on pending litigation."
So this film is a total flop box office failier and to top it all off it's a rip off of at least THREE other films (THX1138, The 6th Day & Parts: The Clonus Horror) but not only that but they are being sued for it by the makers of 'Parts' a movie SO BAD that MST3K riffed it (Season 8 Episode 11) and they thought they'd get away with that more people have probally seen 'Parts' because of MST3K that will ever see 'The Island' I for one hope they lose that case. Maybe them the companies may actually try to be a little more ORIGINAL.
